Origins and Mission of Mr. Smiley Face
Origins
In 2022, Mr. Smiley Face, a Guest Port Services Agent for MLSBC, began working embarkation for The Carnival Dream and The Carnival Breeze. With over 20 years in the Music and Entertainment industries, he found his true calling making cruise guests smile while they wait to board.
The Simple Act of Spreading Joy
What began as a simple act of passing out smiley face pins turned into the #nogrumpyface movement, spreading joy far and wide. Now, guests at the Galveston terminal eagerly look for him to snap a photo and get "pinned." Seeing smiles on faces young and old is what makes it all worthwhile.
Mr Smiley Face Mission
Mr. Smiley Face’s mission: "As a Guest Port Services Agent, it's my job to send our guests onto the ship with smiles, laughter, and joy. When they walk down the gangway, I want their last embarkation memory to be one of happiness. Sending "Fun Ambassadors" onto a cruise ship is truly, a wonderful priviledge.
